These Terms of Use describe the rules and guidelines for using the ArcheoEarth mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to these terms.
1. About the App
ArcheoEarth is a map-based application that helps you explore historical places around the world. Some content in the App is generated by artificial intelligence and is not guaranteed to be accurate. It is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
2. Demo Mode
You can try the App without creating an account through the built-in demo. The demo provides a guided tour of selected historical places with limited functionality. No account, no ads, and no data collection during the demo.
3. Account
You must sign in using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In to use the full App. By signing in, you also agree to the terms of your authentication provider (Apple or Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You can delete your account at any time from the App settings.
4. Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
5. Free Tier and Premium Subscription
5.1 Free Tier
Free users can view up to 15 unique historical places per 24-hour period. Free users may see ads. Watching a rewarded video ad grants access to one additional place.
5.2 Premium Subscription
Premium removes all ads and usage limits, and unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
6. Content Reporting
If you find AI-generated content that is inaccurate or inappropriate, you can report it using the in-app report feature. We review reports and take action where necessary.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with the App’s functionality.
- Abuse the content reporting feature by submitting false reports.
8. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, including repeated abuse of the reporting feature or attempts to interfere with the App’s functionality.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code in the App belong to ArcheoEarth. AI-generated descriptions are provided for personal use only and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on AI-generated content.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
